Darryl Yap, hindi nababahala sa isasampang kaso ni Vic Sotto?

Mukhang walang pakialam si Direk Darryl Yap sa balitang balak siyang sampahan ng kaso ni Vic Sotto kaugnay ng pelikula niyang tungkol sa yumaong aktres na si Pepsi Paloma. 

Sa kanyang Facebook account ngayong Miyerkules, ibinahagi ni Direk Darryl ang ulat ng News5 tungkol sa reklamo ni Sotto laban sa pelikulang *“The Rapists of Pepsi Paloma”*. Ang pelikula ay naging kontrobersyal matapos ilabas kamakailan ang trailer nito, kung saan nadawit ang pangalan ni Sotto. 

Ayon sa ulat ng News5, ihahain ang kaso sa Muntinlupa City Regional Trial Court ngayong Enero 9. 

Samantala, bago pa man lumabas ang balita tungkol sa pagsasampa ng kaso, nag-post na si Yap noong Enero 6 at sinabi niyang hindi siya sigurado kung hihingi siya ng paumanhin kay Sotto.

“About Sir Vic Sotto, I’m not sure whether to offer an apology for his name being mentioned in the film. The truth, after all, is unapologetic,” giit ni Direk Darryl.

“As a public figure tied to a public story, I believe there’s an understanding that stories like this will inevitably resurface. My role as a filmmaker isn’t to pass judgment or provoke—it’s to tell the story as it happened, with honesty and respect for the facts,” dagdag pa niya.
