Mark Herras, Ipinaliwanag ang dahilan ng Pagsayaw sa Gay bar

Mark Herras, the first male winner of GMA’s reality show "StarStruck", explained why he chose to perform at a gay bar despite social media criticism. In an interview with Toni Gonzaga, he stated that as long as a job was legal, he wasn’t picky about opportunities.  

Currently performing at Apollo Male Entertainment Club in Manila, one of the country's top gay bars, Mark emphasized that his priority was working to secure his family's future.

“Hindi ako namimili ng trabaho. Basta legal, gagawin ko para sa anak ko. Ayokong dumating ang araw na manghihingi siya ng pera sa iba dahil wala kaming maibigay. Kaya kong lunukin ang pride ko, alisin ang hiya, at gawin ang lahat para sa pamilya ko,” said Mark.

Mark’s performance at Apollo previously went viral on social media, drawing mixed reactions. His former talent manager, Lolit Solis, expressed sadness over his current situation.  

Despite some negative feedback, many netizens praised Mark, noting how his mindset had evolved from his past image as the "bad boy of the dance floor."
